Website Conversion Rate Calculator for Contractors

See how many extra jobs you book and how much more revenue you generate when your site converts visitors to leads at a higher rate. Same traffic. More jobs.

Sessions or users per month
Visitors that become leads today
Visitors that become leads after improvement
Leads that turn into booked jobs
Revenue per booked job

What a better-converting site puts in your pocket each month

9 Jobs booked per month now
18 Jobs booked per month after
9 Extra jobs per month
$72,000 Extra revenue per month
$864,000 Extra revenue per year from the same traffic
How this is calculated: Current Leads = Visitors x (Current Rate / 100). Current Jobs = Current Leads x (Close Rate / 100). Current Revenue = Current Jobs x Average Job Value. Improved Leads = Visitors x (Improved Rate / 100). Improved Jobs = Improved Leads x (Close Rate / 100). Improved Revenue = Improved Jobs x Average Job Value. Extra Jobs/Month = Improved Jobs minus Current Jobs. Extra Revenue/Month = Improved Revenue minus Current Revenue. Extra Revenue/Year = Extra Revenue per Month x 12.

Important: The defaults shown (1,500 visitors, 2% to 4% conversion rate, 30% close rate, $8,000 average job) represent typical ranges for residential contractors. Your actual numbers will depend on your trade, how targeted your traffic is, and the quality of your site and follow-up process. Why your conversion rate matters more than your traffic

A better-converting site books more jobs without more traffic.

Most contractors think the answer to more leads is more traffic: more Google Ads budget, more SEO, more posts. But if your site only converts at 1 or 2 percent, doubling your traffic doubles your costs without fixing the leak.

A well-built contractor website that converts at 4 or 5 percent turns the same 1,500 visitors into 2x the leads. That is the leverage. And it costs nothing extra in ad spend.

The contractors who win do both: they drive quality traffic and they build a site that captures it. Want to understand what that looks like?

Common questions

Website conversion rate calculator FAQ

What is a website conversion rate for a contractor?

Your website conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who submit a contact form, call, or otherwise become a lead. If 1,500 people visit your site in a month and 30 submit a form, your conversion rate is 2 percent. A better-converting site means more leads from the same traffic, without spending more on ads.

What is a good conversion rate for a contractor website?

Based on typical industry estimates, contractor websites convert between 2 and 6 percent of visitors into leads. Pages focused on a single service in a specific area with strong trust signals (reviews, photos, clear calls to action) tend to perform at the higher end. Generic multi-service homepages often fall below 2 percent. A well-optimized page converting at 4 percent versus a weak page at 1 percent produces 4 times the leads from the same traffic.

How does improving my conversion rate compare to buying more traffic?

Improving your conversion rate costs nothing in ad spend. If your site converts at 2 percent and you improve it to 4 percent, you double your leads without increasing your budget. Buying more traffic to a low-converting site just amplifies the leak. Fixing conversion first, then scaling traffic, is the more efficient sequence for most contractors.

How does this website conversion rate calculator work?

Enter your monthly visitors, your current conversion rate, your improved target conversion rate, your lead close rate, and your average job value. The calculator shows current leads and jobs alongside improved leads and jobs, then computes the extra jobs and extra revenue you would gain from the same traffic at the higher rate. Extra Revenue per Year multiplies the monthly gain by 12.
